I have had bad and good times at John Battle. I'll start with my good times at this school so far. I spend so much time with my friends but sometimes I get limited time. I play Tennis and it is so fun to play with the girls on the team. The teachers are so fun to talk to and I enjoy the activities we do in class. The bad part of being here is that I do not have many activities to do here. The school is working on doing more things to improve the school. A bad thing I recently experienced is that my coach left because of parents complaining over the littlest things he did. It was not even a big deal and parents like to say things to other staff at the school. I would like to see our pep rallies change. The cheerleaders take over it and it is not that much fun. I feel like the teachers should be involved with the pep rally and that the students would get involved. I would love to change our bathrooms and how people treat each other.

The best part is the community and my opportunity to go to the trade school. The Washington County Career and Technical Education Center. I would like to see a stronger focus on students like how to juggle time, and all their activities, and maybe to see how students and teachers are doing.

The good part is that the classes are more individualized and scheduling was optional. The bad part was there wasn't any diversity or any cultural sensitivity classes to prepare you on the outside world.

Absolute terrible, would never send a child of mine nor my worst enemy to this location. If you move in this area please consider, PLEASE CONSIDER sending your children elsewhere. I literally despise that entire building and every molecule it houses.

John Battle High School is an amazing school. Actually the Washington Co VA School District is an amazing district.
