The experience at Brookwood Highschool carries very positive memories as well as others that are more memorable than positive. Some of the great things about this institution were the arts program and how many opportunities there are as well as how big of a community and support system there is. Truly feel the passion and care there is for the craft and the students. Other parts of the institution that affected me were the faculty. There seemed to be a lack of care and respect for the youth however there was a lot of insolvent in regard to the school itself and having upgraded spaces and learning environments for students to thrive.

I have been going to Brookwood for three years now and honestly its been a nice experience. I have some good friends and feel challenged by my classes. I feel like I am being well prepared for college, especially with the AP mathematics classes. They also offer many different courses and extracurriculars. The best part of highschool is being with my varsity track team. The worst has to be the parties that the school has.

Brookwood is a really nice school, however, i am concerned often about my safety... It's super easy for anyone to get in the school and no one would bat an eye. Academics wise, there are lots of opportunities and also very focused and encouraging students.

MARK AND AVOID. I went here, and here's what you'll find. As a girl of a "darker persuasion" if you will, expect discrimination and bullying from Felicia Gudger, the history teacher and Ashley Martin, the Spanish teacher. If you are a girl PERIOD, expect questionable "friendliness" from coach Titus...

I have found this school to be very responsive and a positive experience for my twin sophomore students. The coursework is challenging and one of the twins enjoys Marching band. There are many clubs and opportunities to get involved with other students and the community.

Worst experience I have ever had with a school and district. My child who has an IEP wasn’t given the accommodations listed, like extra time on tests, breaks, assignments broken into sections, or a folder for missing assignments. I have seen teachers actively working against students. One teacher ga...

My child has had an EXCELLENT experience in this cluster and at BHS specifically, and we have been in other GCPS schools to see the difference. If you have the fortunate opportunity to live/be educated here, GRAB IT.
