Although academically they thrive there are multiple things that could be changed to improve the well-being of the teachers and the students. One prime example is the fact that if you are an advanced classes you are expected to be able to sacrifice your sleep and your mental health as well as prioritize every single thing every single teacher asks you to do. many teachers do not show compassion when it comes to real life problems family problems or anything that comes with the teenagers lives. It also does not help considering many children at Calallen do suffer from mental health issues and that is not as prioritized as it should be. Yes they do have mental health days where they give out candy and stress balls but that doesn't help when kids don't feel safe enough to go to the counselors or to tell the teachers. when the teacher see clear signs of bullying. I understand teachers do have their own issues but the things other students witness or go through shouldn't happen.

I love my school, they really care about things other schools can't or refuse to care about. Calallen is a school that'd win my vote if I had to choose. They have great a GT (Gifted & Talented) program also. I'm in band, and I love it! We go on trips, we compete against other schools, and we learn t...
