Over 22 acres of Carmel, Indiana are devoted to Forest Dale Elementary School, a welcomed addition to the Carmel Clay School District. This Title 1 school first opened its doors in 1980 and continues to provide a welcoming space for learning and social interaction. From the kitchen area to the playground, the facilities at Forest Dale continue to be updated to provide modern education to young learners from three years of age to fifth grade. A central media center is surrounded by classroom pods to create diverse learning environments.
Located south of downtown Carmel, Forest Dale is near the stunning Lake Woodland. The spacious campus includes athletic fields and several playground areas for students of all ages. The campus includes one of Carmel Clay School District’s early childhood centers, which offers developmentally appropriate services to students from three to five years of age. While Forest Dale is one of 11 elementary schools in the district, it’s only one of four schools to include a center dedicated to early childhood education.
A strong parent-teacher organization promotes community participation in school events. Ice cream socials, fun runs and Feature Friday teacher awards all support professionals in this highly rated elementary institution.

Avoid this school if you are a person of color, mixed or an out-of-state transplant. Avoid Carmel as well. It feels like going back in time. Racism and bullying are terrible and not handled properly.
