I am an alumni of the school and my experience with the school was overall not terrible. I had some great memories but also some bad ones. If you are looking for comfort in diversity I would not say this is the best school. When I attended it was predominantly white and felt like a target due to the student's opinions. However, even though the students were not the kindest I had some amazing teachers. I felt seen by some of the staff and felt comfortable being in their classes. The arts were the escape I had at school and the teachers in the area were so kind and had not a mean thing about them.

Bandys was everything I could ask for as a student. Enjoyed the classes and learned to think deeply in lots of different ways.

Overall, I enjoyed my experiences at Bandys High School as a student. Every faculty member I interacted with showed genuine care for their students, and my favorite thing about the school was the close environment created between students and staff. There was also a wide variety of ways for students to get involved in the school through sports, clubs, and other extracurriculars. There was never a time where I felt emotionally or physically unsafe at Bandys.

Bandy’s has great teachers and is very involved in the community, however I’ve found that as far as student interactions go, there is room for improvement.

We have had such a great experience at Bandys! Our student has always been in the "higher" courses and we found that she has been challenged academically with a lot of options. She found her love in art and music in addition to math and science. It's been a great experience overall!

As a parent that recently moved from CA to NC I have one child currently enrolled at Bandy's. The students receive great support from the community and from the faculty. The principal and both assistant principals are new to Bandy's within the past three years, and it is evident this has really been...
