Overall, this is a strong academic institution with phenomenal sports teams and a vibrant sports culture. While the counselors and most teachers are excellent, and the honors and AP courses are top-tier, the math department is quite challenging. However, the 504 coordinators are unhelpful and lack trust in the students.

Rigorous academics, sometimes feel harsh grading, college prep or job prep focus, amazing sports culture - love it, strict environment, 9th grade feels overwhelmed due to high homeworks, teachers have lot of expereince, top public high school per US news rankings.

The school is rated highly because they care about high test scores. Nothing more. If you have an over achieving child it’s a good school for you. If your child is an average kid they will be tossed aside. Please beware. My kids were, on average, A-/B+ students. This school only cares about students...
