My experience at Chartertech was a complex one. I did not realize at the time how the four years in my major really did prepare me for college. I find myself already knowing a lot of what is said in my film classes. Another thing worth noting is that a lot of the teachers here really do care. They will take the time and effort to help you in tons of ways.

What I liked about Chartertech High School for The Performing Arts was that it puts their arts first and it is a big part and being in musical theatre has really made me a better actor and being in that school in general has made me a better person and makes me feel validated.

The teachers try their best to be your friend, which makes them a great support system. They joke with the students, but they do their best to help everyone get through their classes. The only issue that I had with the school was the lack of gym/activity space. It was done in the same place where the students ate, and the outside area was unsafe with cars going through, and very limited space with no fields, just cement and blacktop.

I am going into sophmore year at this school and for the most part I love it. The teachers are so nice and if you you don’t go into to drama you mostly stay out of it. The fights aren’t handled the best but idk lol. I overall really like this school and as a film major loooove the film programs.

Do NOT, I repeat DO NOT send your child to this school. They do not handle harassment and bullying in a proper way and will blame the victim.

This year she was in all regular courses because of the transition to public school from homeschooling and I wish I had enrolled her in honors courses because of how well she has done, even with a considerable amount of home life stressors this year.
