grassfield high school is an amazing school but there is some favoritism with sports, for example, football ball gets praised even after losing but gymnastics gets ignored after winning the whole season

I love the teachers and I feel challenged. The building roof leaks everywhere despite being built in 2008.

Grassfield is a large, comprehensive high school and generally works for kids and families who work it. Some have fantastic experiences and others not so much. I've found it necessary to push my kids to chart their own course and indulge their interests/areas of strength vs. the standard college-bound path. GHS counseling loads are too big to provide meaningful college and career guidance and the typical 'take the hardest classes you can in every subject' guidance doesn't allow much sightseeing at a time when kids should be exploring their options. I like that there are soooo many interesting courses both in core disciplines like math, science, English, music etc. and specialty areas like culinary arts, engineering and pharmacy tech. I don't like that so many of the AP courses require two class periods/terms which limits both the number of AP classes students can take and the number of exploratory courses high-performing students can try but that's a district issue. Overall, B+.

The faculty here at Grassfield High are the worst I have ever had to deal with. As an example, today (30Aug2024) my wife and I went to pick up our kid's chromebook as stated it can be done between 8AM-4PM. Before we were able to be let in, staff was aware my wife and I, and a few other parents and s...

Almost all of them are understanding and patient, although around half of them gave out quick busy work after a fast slides...

Best school on the east coast for IEP. The program out shines any other school. If you are a military family with an IEP child this is it.
