There is a lot more ups than downs when it comes to being a student at CHS. By far the part that has been most impactful towards me is the connections with people and activities that I have gotten here. I found passions that I never expected to enjoy here and I owe all of that to CHS.

My name is Makenzie Merrill and I am a senior at Columbus High. I have attended this school my entire high school time and did all my middle school years. This school is a great environment. We have so many teachers who love their jobs and also love their students. Columbus High has helped me step out of my comfort zone. I have been in FCCLA for the past two years. I was president for one year. This school is also good at sports. we take our sports very seriously. This school takes a lot of pride in their Friday night football games. There is a lot of school spirit in the school and we take pride in it. I feel like my high school has set me and other students up for success. we have great programs like CNA and A very good auto class. Columbus High is a great place to be.

My school career has not been the best and has been a struggle. The teachers don't teach anymore besides a few and they don't give one the resources to succeed to their full potential. A lot of the time we are learning on our own which doesn't prepare us for tests or the future.

Very positive. CHS and CPS are great places for our children. If your child isn’t receiving a great education in this system, you should perhaps look at YOUR parenting ability because this system gives kids what they need to succeed.

I just want to thank this school and athletic director, John Krogstrand, for once again showing our kids that winning is more important than anything. In choosing to insist on a technical foul for his opponents wearing pink to RAISE MONEY FOR CHARITY he gave all of the kids a great example of what p...
