As a new student at the combined Alleghany High School, my experience is mixed. I wouldn't say it's a terrible experience, but there is grace to be given. However, there is a lot that needs to be worked on in the future. Overall, I love the faculty, and they will ensure you have the ability to succeed.

One thing I love about Alleghany High is that it has a very warm atmosphere. Everyone gets along, and there is a great amount of people who are both academically talented and very involved with sports.

The classes offered are inadequate and do not prepare you for college. The tech initiative is just one more way to make students not accountable. The athletic programs are pathetic and not competitive.

Other than that...the teachers didnt seem to care and in some cases they didnt know what they were teaching. It was us the students that were cons...
