Passive administration, at best. They prefer to sweep chronic bullying under the rug, which is unacceptable. To make matters worse, a third grade teacher is no better than the bullies - just this past year, she broke 2 laws (refused to allow a child to eat school breakfast, and violatednthe privacy of another), and she's still there this year. It's a shame that the leaders of this institution place no value on integrity or accountability. If you have a choice, I would go somewhere else.

Sawnee is a welcoming and warm environment. My daughters have both had a positive experience both socially and academically. I feel school and classroom communication has been consistent. This is our first year, and we have experienced everything from bullying to bad language use by students. This school is totally racist. This is a white washed school. Diversity is not welcomed. If you are a person of color, get ready to have a rough time.
