It's a good school overall but teachers often leave leaving students to learn for themselves and administrators can be un helpful.

I have been here for four years and I really can't complain. The school is in a nice neighborhood and has mostly Hispanics and African Americans. There are good programs and classes offered for students but most students don't take them seriously, such as advanced placement classes. Overall the school has good spirit and many talented and creative students.

The highschool had its ups and downs through my four years. I think the changes needed have already began with the implication of better facilities for students, more access to higher education resources anda teaching staff dedicated to seeing students do well.

Have one kid as a Junior and another one coming into the school! There is a great environment of teachers that care. Like all the school, nothing is perfect but enough people care!

I had the worst time of my life in this school. Too much drugs, fights, a few opportunities and overall it has a bad environment. My counselor didn’t help at all and if you’re Hispanic they will assume you’re dumb and will put you in the worst classes despite clearly being ahead of them, I basically...

"Cultivating lifelong learners prepared to culturally engage in an evolving community" is the school mission statement. However, culturally engaging at Hillcrest involves rampant antisemitism. Jewish students are attacked, ridiculed, threatened and bullied and the administration does little to nothi...

A grown adult teacher hit a student! She bucked up to the student and hit her after multiple times. The school is now blaming the student even after there being video and multiple witnesses. Be aware!
