The Winston School is very safe. If a student is outside they will be with an adult during school hours. It is not located in a bad area, but if someone were to come to the school that is dangerous or threatening the school there is a system in place that alerts everyone to go to our safe place. The nurse is awesome and very caring. The Winston School is as safe as a church or a home.

You'll probably get the peer pressure and challenges, but then again what school doesn't have that? With that being said, this school has come a long way from when I first arrived. It use to be way more narrow-minded in regards to diversity. With more and more students being unapologetic about who they are, the school has made it known that they do not take bullying or any other type of social hurting. Its progress went from a 83% to a 98%.

I loved my high school. I made so many amazing friends, and I have memories that won't ever fade away. It may be a small school, and people may find out your business from to time to time, but for me, its a minor issue. There are plenty of opportunities to find classes and clubs that fit you and others interests. I would definitely choose to attend the school again, and even recommend it to other people with learning differences.

The level of support for families is amazing! The staff and faculty are all very well trained in methods of teaching students who learn in different ways. Winston provides a nurturing environment, where every child is treated with respect for who they are and how they learn best with no judgement. M...

Winston is the school we have searched years to find. Our 14-year-old daughter struggles with high-functioning ASD, anxiety and a multitude of social challenges. The teachers here truly do care greatly for the children and do an exceptional job of meeting each kid where they are. Accommodations for...

I want to be sure this is publicly available so that no other child suffers the trauma that this school inflicted on my child. My child did a visit with the school in the Spring. He has ASD level 1 and ADHD. He exhibit behavior at that visit, and I cannot stress that enough. The school let me know t...
