Western High is a very good school generally. My only issue was with my counselor, because she never responded to my emails, but I'm fairly certain she was fired.

Western High School is a great school if you go all 4 years. Freshmen are given the opportunity to do the AICE program which can be beneficial when applying to colleges financially. However, there are so many students that it is impossible for the administration to properly track and help guide students. Students who transfer to the school do not get proper help and guidance from counselors.

Western High School is overall a wonderful school with a huge, diverse student body. However the administrators don't take the right attitude and measures with students.

Run as far and as fast as you can from this school.Security is a joke. I can enter the school at any time day, night, weekends, etc. because the band props their outside doors open with rocks. They have red alerts (not drills) almost weekly. Guns, knives, fights, kids being jumped, cops leading kids...

Worst teachers I’ve ever had. Had a teacher tell me they didn’t care if their students pass, they get paid either way. My parent has tried to get in contact with the school when having computer problems and it’s almost impossible unless you go in person. She’s also emailed my guidance counselor with...
