I loved most of the teachers and how welcoming the school was. It was a great community to be a part of, and there were many great memories made there. The best part was the Washington D.C. trip in 8th grade. Many of us, now in high school, talk fondly of this trip and still laugh about it.

The parents would love to be ore involved but they really aren't welcome. Open House has become a joke because the principal doesn't value parents and simply wants the night to end as early as possible. She also prohibits parents from ringing younger siblings. I cannot afford babysitters so I could not attend. There are plenty of parents in my situation and the principal does nothing to help us. I feel sorry for the teachers and students of this building.

Chippewa middle school is one of the best!

They have lost control. There is no discipline there and good kids are getting picked on by other students while the administration does nothing. They have been instructed by the district to let most things slide so that the school does not appear to have discipline issues.

Unwelcoming to parents. There are good teachers, but the school is in need of a change in leadership.
