The staff goes above and beyond the scholar. The scholar enjoy learning. The emvironment caters to learning, it's clean, minimum disruptions and it's safe. Sports involvement is also great.

I've had only great experiences teaching here. I'm happy to see it growing as much as it is especially in the arts department.

As a parent of DCS(truth be told my scholar was born in my classroom). I was a first-grade teacher at the time. But using my parent lens, I must say I like the school and love how they try to prepare the scholars for college and university through their broad curriculum used daily. The scholars enjoys the arts as well as being educated in a diverse population. My daughter enjoys going to school (even cries when she has to leave- who does that? lol) but if I was to say something that's bad or that I would change, it would be I would love to for my kindergartener would be able to participate in clubs like music, dance etc.

MY experience to Durham charter school aka healthy start was a good experience with my son was the first 8th grade graduating class now that his children goes there it has been a headache get called for minor stuff where you have to leave your job to go pick your kid up were they have a dean of stud...
