One of two public elementary schools in Lakeland South, Rainier View Elementary School serves scholars from prekindergarten through fifth grade. The school is in the western portion of the area and is not far from the local favorite, Five Mile Lake Park.
Rainier View Elementary School works hard to create a culture of inclusivity and warmth. These two things are essential to the young children it serves. The school offers speech therapy services and English learner help. Weekly student shout-outs, Student of the Month recognition and Class of the Week recognition keep the students excited to attend school. In addition to the morning meetings, after-school clubs, kindergarten-readiness camp and the Fifth-Grade Graduation Celebration, the school works hard to meet all its students' needs.
Rainier View Elementary qualifies as a Title I school, so supports are in place for students who are at risk of falling behind or not meeting the state's academic standards.

The new admin at this school have made huge improvements! As a parent I am extremely excited to see how the next school year goes. I appreciate their compassion, dedication, and discipline. Children and parents need to be held accountable and they have created best balance to do this.

The fact its has a rating of 4 speaks for itself. When a child is distracted their locked into a "cubby hole". I just heard rhis today and I will be fully investigating this.

Mr. Cross is an excellent principal. He works tirelessly to positively support children's growth, learning and development. The staff here is more like family and all of them know each child by sight. This is a wonderful school all around.
