Throughout my elementary, middle school, and high school years, my experience was extremely mixed. One of the main things that you see at Florien is that it matters what "crowd" you are in. Although I have never been much of a follower, it truly made it harder to get things and succeed if you didn't have "the correct last name". I would very much like to see this change in the future for students that are less fortunate.

Florien High School is a great school with focused on teaching students how to be well rounded. Since adopting a block schedule students have more opportunity than ever to earn credits. In fact, Florien High School gives students the opportunity to earn dual enrollment credit not only at a four year university, but also a technical college for students who are not university bound.

I loved this school. I met a lot of great friends there. I learned a lot not only in the classroom.

If a student is not the child of a teacher, they will not be recognized for excellence at Florien School. This is not opinion, it is fact. Simply look at the Student of the Year winners for the last 10 years. More than 90 percent are teacher's children. That can not statistically be a coincidence.
