The St. Jude Catholic School serves the city of Fort Wayne with a private education for preschool through eighth grade students on Pemberton Drive, promoting a faith-based curriculum.
As a Catholic school, St. Jude values the emotional, physical and intellectual well-being of the whole child. St. Jude's kindergarten students enjoy rhyming and exploring the literature of Dr. Seuss, while social studies and math prepare them for elementary grades. St. Jude's Catholic School elementary students focus on literature, computer use, religion studies, handwriting, high-level math and science. Students can also get experience writing editorials.
When students reach the seventh and eighth grades, they begin to prepare for Catholic confirmation, reviewing theology, studying Spanish and working on engineering-based science projects in a lab setting. Participating in a number of athletic programs, students at St. Jude Catholic School compete in basketball, soccer, softball, volleyball, football, cross country and track. Sixth to eighth grade students may join St. Jude's Junior High Youth Ministry or assist with Mass to enrich their educational experience. Built on a reverence for learning and religious devotion, the St. Jude Catholic School is committed to the spiritual and scholastic welfare of its students.
