The best experience of highschool for me was freedom. I felt trapped in middle school, constricted by the rules and structure, but when I got to high school that all changed. I was able to take the courses I loved, and study my interests. I was rewarded for my hard work and effort. I had so much flexibility with my schedule, I was even able to make an independent study. The worst part is waking up early. I know that feels silly, but it is. I am exhausted from the harsh hours, it makes me wish for weekends. If I could see anything change I would say the cafeteria food. It isn't very good. I don't expect gourmet, or even "great", but I wish I had more trust in the food. I know lunch is free, so I am lucky, but I wish the food tasted at least okay.

I think that there are teachers that truly make an impact but some don't. I also believe some policies do nothing.

Freeport High School gave me the opportunity to study what I love, theatre. The theatre facility was wonderful, and my ability to participate in the arts community there allowed me to launch into college level theatre smoothly.
