Not a great option. nothing except for sports seems to be well funded (many teachers I've had say they had to pay out of pocket for things). Teachers would often leave too. Not to mention the staffs lackluster way of dealing with some situations. The student body isnt very diverse either and if you are lgbtq+ you will probably have a few bad experiences.

It is a good school, I'm comfortable with Mrs.Salas being one of the teachers, she helps her hispanic students in anything they need. overall the school is great, they just need to care for students mental health.

Guthrie High School has wonderful teachers who truly care, but the administration is awful and very unsupportive. Overall, unfortunately, most of Guthrie's shortcomings are because it is poor and very conservative.

My two daughters are now at the High School. One is a Senior and her experience has been so positive. She has started concurrent classes at UCO and is more than prepared for college level work. My freshman daughter settled right in and loves her teachers and classes.
