The Tyrone Elementary school serves the community of Harper Woods as a public school and part of the Harper Woods School District. Enrolling third, fourth and fifth grade students, Tyrone Elementary is focused on providing students with a safe and supportive learning environment that encourages high performance and a culture of mutual respect and personal accountability.
The core curriculum of science, social studies, math and reading is highlighted by an emphasis on STEM learning that includes "inquiry-based thinking" and "hands-on investigations." Students' communication and comprehension skills are developed through writing across all subjects and every student has the opportunity to study music, band and computer technology and participate in physical education.
The performing arts are celebrated at Tyrone Elementary with weekly music classes and fourth and fifth graders may opt to participate in choir after school. Extracurricular opportunities include the Lego club, Robotics club, Girls on the Run, Sewing, Safety Patrol, the Drama club, the Green Team and much more. Tyrone Elementary students can acquire leadership and teamwork schools playing intramural sports as well.

Students are made out to be liars for everything that happens. Students are allowed to bully and nothing is done about it.
