From kindergarten through 12th grade, Hoboken Charter School fosters an inclusive learning community for all students through an individualized learning path. By keeping its student population small, strong and meaningful, relationships are developed between students and educators where every child has a voice in their education. During the lower school years, students explore social responsibility focusing on justice, service and diversity. In the middle school years, these lessons are applied beyond themselves to their broader communities and peers. Using these life lessons, the upper school puts the core principles to work through direct action, advocating for change in the real world. In March 2021, a new high school building was unveiled and connected to the existing lower and middle school site on Washington Street, bringing one united home to Hoboken Charter School. Now, all students can engage and support one another and their obligations toward a more just world.

Amazing education for your children. The teachers are incredibly nice and are always willing to go above and beyond for their students. I am who I am today as a direct result of this school. Please, if you are on the fence about sending your kid here, do it.

I like that the High School is very diverse but they could work on making the staff more diverse. I also liked that the school is small which makes it better to get one on one attention.

This school didn't help me with my college decision and helping me apply to colleges and it really didn't prepared me for real life and college work.

As a young Black girl, I attended this school for a full month and felt that I experienced discrimination from the principal based on my race; her behavior towards me was quite aggressive. The school lacks organization and structure, with over 30 students crammed into a small classroom. Additionally...

If you are prepared for the endless money grab and begging letters then this is the school for you. The more you donate, the better your kids will do. Teachers are very left wing and if your child does not show these tendencies, they will be belittled and told their wrong.Worst mistake we made putti...

Fantastic school. Super strong leadership and amazing teachers. We have two children in the lower school, and we love the education they are getting. Teachers and administrators really care about the kids, and teachers teach to each individual childs level, not just to the middle. Couldn't be happie...

My children have loved their experience in the grade school. It feels like an expensive private school. Any parent who's child wins the lottery would be crazy not to try it. Our experience has been amazing! Every teacher and staff member cares about the children and is engaged in making sure they ge...
