Founded in 1818, Georgetown’s Holy Trinity School is D.C.’s oldest elementary school. In 2016, the Catholic, coeducational, fully-accredited institution received another distinction when it was named a Blue Ribbon School by the U.S. Department of Education.
Today, Holy Trinity enrolls approximately 340 students hailing from D.C., Maryland and Virginia in its pre-K through grade 8 programs. Boasting small class sizes and individualized attention, the school adheres to the Jesuit traditions of academic excellence, critical thinking, a bias for action, introspection and a presupposition of goodness in others.
In addition to Catholic Youth Organization sports such as cross-country, softball, basketball, soccer and track and field, students participate in after-school clubs ranging from debate team and creative writing to tae kwon do, ballet and cooking. Within this community where “Love Matters Most,” the Holy Trinity family draws from its rich history and commitment to serving others in nurturing the next generation of academic and spiritual leaders.

Holy Trinity is a wonderful school. Our daughter is going into her third year there and we could not be happier. She is enriched everyday by a staff that fosters a sense of warmth and community. Principal McShane's leadership is ubiquitous on campus, and contagious. In the classroom our child is challenged to think creatively and critically while learning how to make a positive impact on others.

Holy Trinity School not only provides an education but also a community. My children, as well as my husband and I, have established wonderful friendships with the other families who attend the parish and the school.

Holy Trinity School is where our three children attended. It is a great small catholic school K to 8 in Georgetown. We have put three children through Holy Trinity. We have the odd less-than-desireable teacher interaction, but 95% great teacher experience. You can (respectfully) voice concerns as a parent and you will be shown similar respect and concern.
