At Ellender Memorial High School, there is plenty of diversity compared to other surrounding schools. The teachers are polite and evidently enough care about the students. However, due to low government funding, my school is not able to properly accommodate for all students. I would like to see a better effort put into my school.

The experience has been chaotic over the years. With the school being destroyed our resources have become low, but we still make do with what we have. Working hard and working together helps us in our tough times.

The semester just started, but I think that I've experienced a lot here. I'd say both positive and negative. For the cons, I think that the portables can do better. I can't count how many times I tripped on that boardwalk. These doors aren't even secure. One pull and the door breaks open. The teachers that I have are confusing. Some of my teachers make the lesson too complicated for what it really is. In my opinion, I'd rather just watch Khan Academy videos and teach myself. However, one of my teachers knows how to teach. I don't like how students speak badly of her. The way she teaches is simple and I've never had a teacher that was able to teach me in that subject so easily. Her class is the only class that I really do understand everything that is given. As for the pros, the school is somewhat active. We have pep rallies from time to time and there are always events going on. The environment isn't as harsh at middle school. They also prepare you for college from the earliest point.

I am a student at ellender and i honesrly think its a good school the only thing is they worry abt some pretty stupid things like cell phones. Just about every one at school has some kind of after school practice. I know i do and for some reason they always let us out early and how and i supposed to...
