Communication is terrible. Counselors discourage high aspiration and do not assist. Unorganized. Academics are not a priority

As a student of Spring Valley High School, I feel safe and well educated. As a whole there are a great team of teachers and other staff; however, I think the school should be more involved with students when it comes to college readiness.

I loved my time at Spring Valley because of the friends I had and the experiences I had. The school itself had no negative or positive impact on me. Spring Valley is overlooked and underfunded. So many things need improvement. But one thing I can say about Valley is they have community. This community shows up and supports their kids like no other I've ever seen. The community never fails to make its kids feel loved and important.

This school is terrible and has not prepared me for life outside of high school whatsoever.

So far, two years into my education at Spring Valley, I am by no means impressed. Be it the tobacco crisis, or the lack of clear leadership, or even the overall atmosphere, it is not very good at all, as of January 2019.
