This school will continue to slide in the rankings until they are able to appoint a tough principal who can keep the teacher body in check and enact change where needed (reward the good teachers and reprimand the under-performing ones with the potential to dismiss those, etc.).

This school is too mired in bureaucracy to focus on the best interest of individual children. If you have a gifted/talented child or one that has other special needs, this may not be the place for you. This school is far too focused on fulfilling state mandates than on actually teaching and nurturing children. As noted by "A parent," Ms. Lane is a fantastic teacher. She has always been. Even when she was my teacher close to twenty years ago :). I hated nap time though, I hope they did something about that...
