Being in this school for 4 years hasn't been the absolute worst as some may beg to differ in my school. The students aren't super connected but everyone gets along enough to get by.

The one thing I love about my high school is that it's not too big and it's not too little. Everyone knows everyone unless there's someone new. I grew up with everyone at my high school, for the most part. The one thing I don't love about my high school is the prejudice, lack of diversity, and the public school food. I would like to see these three things change for the better. The administrators often take one look at you and decide whether they like you or not. There's a total of 10 Hispanics and even less of the other ethnicities. Jackson only provides Spanish and french languages when there are so many more. The food isn't diverse either. There's a different type of pizza everyday, they took away the salad bar, and all of the food is greasy. But, despite all of the bad things, there are good things as well. For example, the sports teams have been on fire this past year, the graduation rates are up along with the lexile levels.

Jackson High School is filled with very friendly people and teachers and I'm currently attending as a senior. The only reason I rate it as four stars is for the lack of more classes there could be for people wanting to take certain things, such as more AP classes or extra electives. I understand Jackson isn't a large school and it's in a small county, but I would love to be able to have more options in choosing what I would've liked to take.

Very bad. No homework sent home ever. Counselors are hard to reach and when you do, you’re told ten different things. They don’t even know the proper entrance exams (SAT/ACT) accepted by the Colleges our son wants to attend. Told us the wrong information. Does not help the students prepare for SAT/A...

This school has given my daughter plenty of opportunity. She is in dual enrollment and is only in the 10th grade. I am grateful for the teachers and the countless at Jackson High.
