I recently graduated from North Johnston and I had some difficulty with college readiness. I was denied from NC State because I did not have as much access to AP/IB classes. After I had graduated they had expanded the options for AP classes.

It's a very good school, the only issue is there are no AP options and scarce language courses. It is a very tight nit community, that works together to make a great environment and a great sports program.

North Johnston is not the best school to attend but not the worst. The teachers have great potential but they only reach out to specific students. As far as preparing you for your ideal future there can be a lot of improvement. Many students that attend North Johnston are not aware of the resources available. In the coming years I would like to see North Johnston promote the academic resources and reach out to all the students instead of the top 25 percent.

Teachers and staff really care about each student! The staff is very friendly and always go "over and beyond" to ensure my child is taken care of. Other parents I have spoken to seem to agree!

Now that the principle is gone, maybe this school can get the leadership it needs. Now if we can just get rid of the superintendent (year 2009-2010)
