Harborside is a great school that focuses on EL education. We do hands on learning and use Habits of success traits to better our learning. My school helps me better prepare myself for the future.

In the years in which I attended Harborside Academy I have found it to be a nice change from everything else. The teachers there are helpful and they also reiterate the importance of revising a returned assignment if you were not happy with the grade you initially got. The school itself is a big square shape so it might not be as hard to find your class compared to other schools with a bigger campus. Each grade level has it's own intended floor/hallway in which all of their classes are located. The school itself is also located near a lake downtown in which there are many downtown attractions that one could visit after school. In the end Harborside Academy has shown me how I learn best in school and has made an impact on me as a person overall.

It's nice because it's a smaller school, so if you don't like to be in a larger school it would be good. Harborside has some weird/different ways of doing things like instead of doing a field trip you do field work which is where you do work along with the trip. But we do usually get more days off and end a day earlier than the other schools.

My son really enjoys his middle school experience at Harborside. His teachers and staff are very invested in his learning and growth. There are lots of options for in school and after school clubs and activities.

My son graduated from Harborside Academy, he just missed being in the top 10% of his class but went on to a nationally accredited Business College and Graduated with honors, making the Dean's list every semester!

Harborside's approach is both great and has room for improvement. The expeditions the teachers put together are usually very engaging and help create final products that are pretty great, but there are also some concepts that need to be taught but get brushed aside since they don't fit the learning...
