David Thibodaux is a great school for learning and development of children. There is one key feature that if I would have to recommend changing it's the children are so focused on academics. They sometimes get distracted and don't realize how hard they work or try and enjoy the experience that they go thorough.

The academics were rigorous and challenging, preparing students for college or other paths. Admin and teachers cared for students' futures.

As a recent high school graduate from David Thibodaux, I can firmly say that the school provides an adequate amount of preparation for college and education at a higher, more interactive level. A majority of the teachers are friendly and passionate, and even on my worst days I had advisors to go to for help. On the other side, there weren't many teachers and they were often stretched thin.

There is a clear preference to accommodate the students attending DTSMA who commute from the Southside and surrounding areas. The fact that DTSMA has been allowed to be a completely "Magnet" school has robbed the rightful students who would normally be zoned to the school of resources that the other...

I love this school but I feel like they could do better in the discipline part go it. They need to make sure that kids that actually are doing something wrong are getting in trouble. Rather than just getting a "talking to". I also think they could do better with equality and not making certain stude...

5 out of 5. This school is the best school to send your student to if attending a public school in Lafayette Parish. The administrators make it there priority to get to know each student and go over and beyond the call of duty to make sure that each student succeeds.
