The best part about Lafayette High School is that it's brand new and it offers jumpstart or tops university scholarships. However, it can be overwhelming and overcrowded during lunch

I'm glad to at least spend my final year in the new school building. LHS has offered me a plethora of extracurricular activities, and I've had the opportunity to develop socially. I would've liked to have the schoolday begin later.

Overall, great school. The best part about Lafayette High is the amount of opportunities you get to meet new people and to try something new. I'm on the Cross Country and Track teams, and that was the best decision I ever made at this school. I met so many great people, and the best coach ever, Coach Tim Lemaire. The teachers are very supportive and push me to do my best all the time.

This school is an absolute joke. Move to Youngsville and put your kid in southside if you want what’s best for them.

The finest liberal arts academy in the state. Their instrumental music program is unparalleled. LHS graduates several valedictorians (consistently).

Lafayette High School was the best thing to happen to me. It shaped my character, opened my eyes to culture and diversity, and gave me every possibility to succeed. I was in the Gifted program and the Academy of Health Careers. Both enriched me and made me into the woman I am today. Though the physi...
