In my opinion, LNC is a good school on paper but does not carry this out in terms of academics. There are not many AP options as there are in larger schools, nor are the teachers at any higher level. Furthermore, the grading policy is harsh and unforgiving unlike public schools where there is more leeway.

I am thankful for Charter and the education I recorded there from 5th-12th grade. The school was great for me academically and with involvement and I never once questioned my safety.

LNC has a great school culture and school spirit. The students are smart and kind and you should be able to find someone in your friend group. The best thing about the school is the teachers, who are great, minus one or two of them. I don't do much sports, but the teams are good, but I wouldn't say they're the best. Carpool takes time, and they don't serve lunch themselves (you have to pre-order from other restaurants at high prices). The academics are good though, and there are numerous science classes. Some sections could use more funding, but there are many inclusive clubs in the school. They prepare you well for college, and you know that you are always safe and secure in the school.

I’ve had 3 children attend LNC from 5th grade to graduation. All three very different learners and all three have stated LNC had them well prepared for college and more so than they’re freshmen peers. Charter has a family feel if you’re an engaged family. And just like every school in America, there...

The school's overall curriculum is lacking. There is no formal science or language arts curriculum. I showed a family member who taught math and science at a Title I school the science lessons and they were appalled. They said the science curriculum/lessons plans wouldn't be accepted at her formal s...
