Over the past 4 years I have had a good experience at Lead-Deadwood High School for the most part. The education is high quality. Most of the teachers take their job very seriously and have a love of teaching. One thing I would like to see change is putting academics before sports. I would also like to see the performing arts program get the recognition it deserves.

The drama between teachers and students is outrageous and makes for a toxic, unproductive environment . Bullying from both students and staff have gotten out of hand and aren't dealt with properly by administration.

Great school, good atmosphere. Teachers and administration really seem to care about their jobs. I think they should allow students to be a part of deciding which teacher receives the teacher of the year award, though.
