GreatSchools Rating
The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

The small class size gave students the advantage of having better one on one learning with teachers. However, I would like to see more funding put into Calhoun and more extra curricular activities for students. There aren't many options for students outside of the band, sports, and JROTC.

What i liked about Calhoun was the school pride that students walked around campus with. No matter where we went we always shown that we were proud to be Calhoun tigers. Also, we realized that we stood taller as a group than ourselves as individuals. Some things i would like to see change is community involvement because not enough family members and business owners look to pitch in with the becoming of their young leaders who will become the exact people to determine the future of the area.

Calhoun High School is a very energetic learning place. I really can say that our teachers care about us earning an education. As a student, when your teacher puts their all into educating you , it makes us want to work harder. Not only is Calhoun High a respectful, conservative, learning place for kids at our age but it also sets us on a path for success and a happy life style when we graduate.
