What's great about Long Beach High School is that it's an IB level school. Being an IB level school, it offers so many rigorous courses for all students to take. Anywhere from IB art classes to IB math classes, Long Beach High School has it all. I think it has a perfect and interesting variety of classes for students to choose from. Whether they are IN level or just standard classes.

Long Beach High School is, in my opinion, a great place to spend four years learning. I feel that the community is diverse and has many unique clubs and classes to reflect this. I feel that the school is an overall welcoming and comfortable community. While (like any other school) LBHS could use some improvements, there is nothing major that stands out to me as needing change.

I have ZERO idea why this school is ranked with a "6". We moved here from CA and the school has AMAZING classes to take, all the AP and IB courses, the sports are strong, the teachers are good, it is in a beautiful location...I think east coast schools are biased to private schools. This is a great...

LBHS is a microcosm of the town itself, possibly the world. There is a wide range of wealth, race, and family backgrounds. The benefit of attending a school like LB, is that it will provide students a glimpse of what the real world is like. There will always be difficult people in life (i.e students...

I have my second child going through LBHS and I am thrilled with the level of education he is receiving. My daughter graduated class of 2013 and is now a student at Hofstra University. She was completely prepared and had her choice of several prestigious universities. My son is now on the wrestling...

My "school" is really a prison. I have been accepted into great colleges such as Loyola University and College of Charleston but no thanks to this PRISON. This is a place where you are penalized for doing the right thing. There are fights every week. The bathrooms are the most unsanitary places I ha...
