My experience so far at Lawrence County High School has been relatively good. There are some teachers who suck, but at the same time there are teachers who are great.

I have been at this high school for 4 years, so i know its qualities without a doubt. The small size of the school certainly makes it better in some aspects such as community and the staff who are like family. The size also accounts for the lack of funding along with the location of the school being in a low income area. The lack of funding has put a buffer on some facilities but we recently received a large grant to help with new buildings. I will not be there for the new building but i hope it greatly improves the school and the academics for the foreseeable future.

It is very simple. If your child is from a family of a well-known, well-to-do's, then they will have it made. If not, so sorry for your luck. I graduated from LCHS my child attends LCHS. She is in AP classes and her test scores are above average. We have had great experiences here. The staff and board are not perfect but love our kids and do their best. The school and community are like family.
