I will not say that I loved every second of this place but I sure did learn a lot and feel like I got a good education. You do have to work for your education at this school though. You can take a lot of easy classes and coast through or you can decide to challenge yourself and make the most out of it. There are a lot of average teachers but there are also a good amount of real gems who make the academic experience richer. This is a very back country sort of community and opinions range pretty severely from both ends of the spectrum as well. I would not say that it is known for its diversity nor its easy acceptance of more progressive ideas.

I really love Nelson County High School I love who I became today. If it was not for Nelson High I don't know where I would be.

Nelson County was not good and not bad at the same time. Some teachers were great, some were terrible. Some classes were great, some were terrible. It's really a mixed bag with Nelson. For the most part, they did not prepare me for college.
