Burrell High School is an inclusive school that provides a good education. As a senior at Burrell, I am happy to say that my overall experience has been good.

I love most of the teachers at Burrell and the way they connect with the students. A lot of them feel like friends and treat us with respect and kindness. However, there is not a lot of diversity with the activities/clubs in the high school. They also only offer Spanish and French as language courses; I think they should have a few more options for the students. Overall, most of the students are nice enough, but there could be more diversity all around.

The teachers all really try to create a good environment and help every student they can. They know when some students are having a bad day and try to help in any way they can. A lot of the students are also very focused and driven, but there are a good amount who discriminate against others. I am part of the LGBTQ+ community, and most of the time I feel safe, but there have been times where it's not an overall good environment for people like me.

Excellent teachers, wide variety of AP classes, partnership with Penn State New Kensington gives students a unique opportunity to get college courses throughout high school - we have been impressed. Graduates end up at top notch universities.

In two years Burrell has been reviewed 4 times, yet the two 5 star reviews are on the same day, which is suspect.
