I feel as though I was not prepared enough for college. I did learn some things that helped me but that is because I reached out and asked about them. They do not prepare you for the world at all. They don't seem to care about the actual knowledge of the students. I feel like they are just there to get paid. Now there are some teachers who do care but very few. I wish I would have been much more prepared for the real world than I was coming out of high school.

I have worked here over 10 years and in the last year or so I think Jackson has dropped the ball big time, they are very hard on us and don't understand that we are trying to do our best teaching these kids. There are fights daily and drug problems are on the rise, and the administration does not step in and help us out. Something that has always bothered me. It's Jackson likes to cover things up and not bring them up at our meetings.

I'm pulling my daughter out of this terrible awful school. There was so many incidents where the administration covered it under a rug. I'm sending my kid to Hoover. They have much better academics. There were were drugs and bullying happening throughout that school.

I have been very disappointed with this school. My husband and I moved from another state for our jobs, and when looking for a school for our son, we did our due diligence and researched the surrounding school districts. What Jackson Local does NOT tell you is that if your child is a newcomer, he wi...

This school district caters to the wealthy and privileged student. Not our cup of tea. The kids from average income homes can expect bullying. My grandson was treated terribly for not being from a "professional" father/mother. Teachers not responsive to the way some kids are treated.

We moved to Jackson specifically for the reputation of the schools and I can say having sent two kids through the district and a third still there, the reputation we heard about has far exceeded our expectations. Caring teachers, administrators who lead and set the tone for others, community that ca...

Great, the teachers are supportive, there is a good arts program, they offer career tech programs to help you succeed in college and/or a future job. As for mentally disabled students they offer specialized classes iep and 504 programs, and even job training.
