Mercer is a very small town school with lots of heart. Because it is such a small town and school, each kids gets lots of attention from teachers and all are very willing to help. However, there are negatives to being such a small school. There aren't nearly enough clubs most schools have that would help students find what interests them the most.

We have a lot of repairs that have needed to be done for a long time, specifically the roof. Technology is definitely here, but most of the computers are outdated or just completely useless. Guidance counselor is on point. Prep resources are too. Tutoring is nonexistent. Parents usually only get involved if there's issues with grades and such. Busing is fine.

The entire staff supports you moving on to bigger and better things. You have ample opportunities to look at your paths and choices for the rest of your life, and I feel that it's entirely up to you on how well you do. You get as much as you put in.

Both of my children attend this school and we love it! High academic and behavioral expectations. At Mercer it is cool to do the right thing and work hard, even for high schoolers.
