It was very hard and miserable at times, but certainly prepared me for Yale. I don't think I would've gotten in had I not gone to the best high school in the state.

LAMP is an outstanding academic magnet high school. Lamp, however is more than just academics, its about the people. The kids, the teachers, staff and parents. LAMP is an ecosystem where students can reach their highest potential. At lamp the academics are intense, but so are the sports, the arts and extracurriculars - LAMP is a school for people who "drink deep from the well of life."

L.A.M.P. High School offers many rigorous courses and provides a safe and diverse environment, however, the food may not be the best. For example, the cafeteria workers could serve spoiled milk, which can very easily upset one's stomach. Regardless, the education makes going to the school worth it. L.A.M.P. has more than 20 AP courses to allow students to experience college level rigor.

I somehow managed to get into LAMP as it was actually REALLY hard to get into. At first, I was really happy since I was actually in the top 6 to get selected and literally thought that the difficulty of this school wouldn't be bothersome to me. I genuinely lost my emotions the second I started that...

My son currently attends LAMP as a senior. It's an amazing school--the faculty sets high standards and holds students accountable--something that's missing at many public schools. The LAMP students excel in academics (corroborated by extraordinarily high scores on ACT and SAT), athletics, and citize...

This is an amazing school! Our oldest daughter transferred in as a junior and graduated with full scholarship offers from 7 different universities. The staff and learning environment are outstanding. Students leave LAMP truly prepared for college and our daughter still refers to LAMP as one of the b...
