I have had so many meaningful experiences, made so many friends, and learned so much (academically and socially) while at Freedom. Most of the teachers are so kind, outgoing, and supportive. There will always be a special place in my heart for this school; I will always be grateful for its role in helping me to mature and become the person I am today.

This school has counselors who do not care about students. When asked to switch counselors, I was not permitted. The culture is not very good. There are many fights here.

The best part of my experience at Freedom High School has been being able to connect with friends an my classmates by participating in sports and the many clubs offered. I would like to see the cleanliness and the organization improve.

The bullying is terrible, it’s all I can focus on sometimes and has ruined senior year for me

I withdrew my oldest. My other two will never step foot in there.

Four of my children have attended this school. Hands down this is the most diverse school in our county for which I am grateful. Also, the gifted students program at Freedom possesses a rigor and excellence lacking in other schools in our county. College bound students are well prepared for the next...

Freedom is a most excellent, diverse, student oriented High School where the students excell both academiclly and athletically as well as in the arts (Band program is one of the best in Western North Carolina.)
