Chopticon is in a small town and has many opportunities for extracurriculars. The school is what you make it, getting involved in activities will greatly improve your experience here. We are a connected community and look out for each other.

The best part of going there was being in an academy, if I was there for any other reason I would have hated it. The teachers that work there can be very kind or very rude and there was no good middle. I would like to see the school have better inclusion.

CHS is the best high school in St. Mary's county. I attended there 40+ years ago. and it is still going strong. many changes in the administration, however, this school turns out the best qualified students in the county. the athletic department does just as well. thank you for those who serve as te...

i must say that I was a bit skeptical of Chopticon when we entered the school system, however considering it is the best in St. Mary's County, this is the school district we chose to move into. Our sons really love it here and I am very impressed with the teachers and their dedication. Unfortunately...
