My experience here through all four years was nothing but exciting. But nonetheless the people made it better. whether it be through the administration, staff, or the students. You would always have someone that you could talk to no matter what was going on. My favorite person was my SRO through my freshman, sophomore, and junior year. Officer Kyle, she was an amazing officer but also a great friend that you could go to without judgement.

I think one of the best parts of this school is that it is easy enough to make friends if you get into the right classes. You'll generally find more people that have similar interests if you take electives which this school offers a lot of. I do not like the amount of change the school has gone through. In the 4 years I have been there, so many changes have happened that I and other students think are bad changes and wish it could be reverted.

It is a very sports oriented school, but the arts program still exists and is a strong community if you can find it.

North Surry, for me, felt like a "make it your own" experience. IF, and I do mean IF, you incentivize yourself, you'll be put through exceptional courses. I wanted to take AP classes, so I met with teachers, other students, and the principle in order to try to get into them. Not to mention how aweso...

The students that are posting bad things about the school are probably the ones who are always getting into trouble. As a former student of this high school I know it is a great school. North Carolina excels in education. Living in a different state now, and seeing how their grade school education i...

this school doesn't care about the students, the principal and teachers all they care about is getting the students through school without having them to dropout, yall see they get graded as well that's all they care about. these people will do things behind your back, and then you will find out lat...

I try my best to be objective and base opinion on facts versus feelings. I have NEVER felt that either the old or new principal at North Surry intend to be dictators. At the end of the day they are responsible for MANY students and have to consider the good of the whole student body versus my child...
