I have been a student at York Prep since the sixth and the school has given me many wonderful memories. The faculty there I believe is the best part of the school as the small class sizes allow for close interaction with faculty. In the past, I would've said that the school lacks diversity I believe that the diverse population and presence has been steadily increasing compared to when I first entered.

Make sure you speak to parents and kids who attend and have attended this school before you ultimately commit. Many parents and kids have had negative experiences with the administration and their methods. There are better options for kids with Executive Function issues (that are more nurturing). York is a for profit entity that is owned by a corporation. Do your homework before getting involved in any way.

Terrific school with teachers and administration very invested in my son's education and well-being. My son attended from 6th to 12 grade and enjoyed the experience. Teachers helped him find new club interests, believe in his abilities and encourage him to try new things.

The school has the resources and the tools to be an amazing school. The administration lacks a long-term vision and makes decisions on a whim. There are many teachers that are ineffective, but have a lot of clout in the school. The school needs better leadership and needs to become clear of its educ...
