At best, Avery County is a sub par school. Very little communication with parents about activities and opportunities for their child. Teachers seem very uninterested in actually helping students. Was very disappointed in our time there.

I really liked the classes here at Avery High, also the opportunity of getting to make new friends from different places. Seeing people walk in and out of this school. I reunited with one of my best friends in elementary school here in this high school. I loved it. She moved around third or fourth grade and she came back as a freshman.

My experience was okay. I wish it was the best. I want the school to be less strict.I hope teachers and staff stop making the "popular students" or certain people special. I believe all student need equal treatment. All rules apply to everyone.

My daughter tells me that she's being bullied and no one seems to care at this school. Your staff needs to pay more attention to the students and if something doesn't seem right with a child, they need to ask that child and then do something about. No child should feel threatened when they walk into...

This school has an amazing staff. The technology available to the students n is phenomenal! They did and have done everything possible to make our son succeed.
