I think Jefferson High School lacks significant diversity. It is a very sheltered school with little to no diversity, which was a huge culture shock when I furthered my education. I wish Jefferson had more resources to help prepare and learn about college, because I felt very clueless starting my undergrad program.

The best part about JHS is the community. Our student sections at sport games are always so fun to be a part of. Our teachers also have a lot of school spirit so starting from freshman year there will always be a teacher telling you to get more involved. The worst part about JHS is the teacher turnover rate. Many teachers and staff have left throughout my four years here and it makes it harder to grow connections with staff members.

The teachers are all spectacular, and the classes are decently sized. But the building could use some upgrades to feel safer and more comfortable.
