Northside Middle has been serving the area since the 50's. It has a diverse student body and teachers that go above and beyond to help their students. I was surprised to see a comment about security officers, as there are only 2 for the entire school. The building is a bit old but has been updated several times to support more modern computer systems. For years, Northside has been one of the top performing schools amongst Norfolk middle schools.

Bullying is an issue in all of Norfolk Public Schools and in society in general. No issues with the Special Education Department.
