I have a student at Roton and I volunteer as part of the PTA. Roton has made some incredible improvements over the last few years and I don't feel like the previous reviews capture all the positive elements it has to offer. Roton is a small neighborhood school with the energy and diversity of much larger institution. The school is now operating as an IB middle years program, preparing students to pursue an IB degree at Brien McMahon. The parents, teachers and administrators work diligently to provide students with fun and enriching extracurriculars, and continuously advocate for school improvements and programs at the local and state level. Middle school is a tough time for increasingly independent students, but the community is continually thinking of new ways to improve school culture and parent involvement. Roton is evolving and I hope to see more excitement and commitment by local families to participate in and shape this experience.

Where do I even begin, I can't tell if this was solely on the students who created this negative experience for me during my time at Roton. The building is old, I know they painted the walls and stuff to make it look better, but there were times when our rooms were deemed unsafe due to extreme heat...

Not what is expected. The reviews and ratings are completely off. there is no connection between what school ratings are there and what kids expereince.
